Koinonia Church
Here at Koinonia Church we are place to be loved, a place to believe, and a place to become. We share a Gospel-born joy deep enough for sorrow, strong enough for anger, rich enough for grace, and brimming over with hallelujahs. We are located in the historic neighborhood of Bordeaux where Dr. Mika Edmondson serves as senior pastor.

A Living Hope: What Jesus Gives, Nobody Can Take Away. Today’s sermon is based on Christ’s resurrection. Our scripture reading comes from 1 Peter 1:3–5, given by Rev. Dr. Mika Edmondson.
Life has a way of stripping away what we thought was secure, but as 1 Peter 1:3–5 reminds us, through the resurrection of Jesus we are given a living hope that cannot be taken away. Peter wrote to believers facing death, yet their hope endured because it was rooted in a living Savior—we are tethered to Christ, so as long as He lives, we live. This hope secures a lasting inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. Everything in this world fades, but what Jesus gives does not—our hope is alive, our future is secure, and in Him, we have what can never be taken away.
